The Friller

I had a lot of fun with this- character design assignment for Illustration class, and this next week we have to do some illustrations portraying the character's emotions.

This concept art is for The Friller, a cheesy Batman-esque supervillainess that me and my friend Corinne had as an inside joke for a while (it involved conversations about her becoming Batgirl in which I was her sometimes-rogue, sometimes-buddy, the Friller :U). Her thematic schtick is that she is a Lolita, and she is heavily Penguin-influenced (for example, the parasol weaponry). I have a full character write-up for her (as part of the assignment) but I don't feel like posting it here :U

I didn't want to do a gothic or sweet lolita because whenever you see lolitas portrayed in pop culture they're always either really outdated oldschool, Mana-esque gothic or super OTT sweet, so she ended up being a classic lolita with some touches of both sweet and gothic in this design.
